Entry Requirements
1.Applicants should generally be 18–30 years old, meet the requirements of the Nationality Law of the People’s Republic of China, and be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid ordinary foreign passport.
(1) According to Article 5 of the Nationality Law of the People’s Republic of China, individuals who were born abroad and acquired foreign nationality at birth, with one or both parents being Chinese citizens who have settled abroad, do not hold Chinese nationality. Since 2021, such applicants applying as international students for undergraduate studies must, in addition to meeting other admission requirements, hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for at least four (4) years, and must have resided abroad for at least two (2) years within the most recent four years (up to April 30 of the year of enrollment). Residence abroad of 9 months within a year may be counted as one full year, subject to entry and exit stamps.
(2) Residents of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan who have emigrated and acquired foreign nationality and apply as international students must also meet the requirements stated in (1). For details, please refer to the Ministry of Education document Notice on Regulating the Acceptance of International Students by Higher Education Institutions (Jiao Wai Han [2020] No. 12)
2.Applicants must have completed high school or possess an equivalent academic qualification, with academic performance (including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) meeting admission requirements. Applicants with excellent results in the university’s foundation program will be given priority.
3.Applicants must be in good physical health and meet the specific admission requirements of the applied major: No severe myopia, color blindness, or color weakness; Normal hearing, sense of smell, and speech ability; Applicants with infectious diseases (such as hepatitis B, HIV, syphilis, tuberculosis), serious chronic illnesses, or other conditions that may affect completion of studies may apply only after full recovery; Applicants with mental or psychological disorders are not recommended to apply. Applicants found unfit for study during the entrance medical examination will have their admission cancelled. Health requirements are implemented in accordance with the Guiding Opinions on Physical Examination for Enrollment in Ordinary Higher Education Institutions (Teaching [2003] No. 3) and relevant supplementary regulations:

5.CSCA (Undergraduate Academic Proficiency Test for Studying in China) transcript, with test subjects including English Mathematics and English Chemistry
6.Proof of English proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, or other recognized tests: IELTS ≥ 6.0 with no band below 5.0; TOEFL ≥ 70 with no section below 15; Duolingo ≥ 105), or Proof of full high-school education conducted in English.

Statement of Purpose
I am Saeid Eidivandi, 19 years old, from one of the beautiful and legendary cities in Iran called Ahvaz.
I am applying to the Wenzhou Medical University to start my academic education in the field of dentistry.
I have wanted to be a dentist since I was a kid. It was an interest that was started when I noticed how hard my dentist worked to ensure that our teeth were taken care of. One time he even called our family because he said that he had a feeling that my brother’s tooth would give him more complications after furthering studying his x-ray and looking at some published papers. He said he would not charge for the upgrade, he just wanted to make sure everything would be okey. This experience showed me that a successful dentist is focused the patient’s well being above all else and it inspired me to become a dentist too.
During my summer time, I worked at the dental office and I had many responsibilities. These included calling patients and the insurance companies to make sure we would get paid. These experiences gave me a look at what the daily life of a dentist was like.
I want to become a dentist because I was inspired by my dentist. However, I know that it will take a lot of hard work and practice to get there. I was an excellent student that is focused and ready to do whatever is needed in order to make my skills better and make sure that I can give the best to my patients. This would be a great opportunity for me to further develop my skills and it will make me a better dentist in the future.
Therefore, I did a lot of researches about the universities over the world that offer good dental program. Since I was interested in China due to its large size and population, studying in China will be a great opportunity for me to get acquainted with an ancient and influential culture in addition to studying at one of the most prestigious dental universities in the world. Besides, China is one of the greatest countries in science and I strongly believe that a Chinese academic environment would be the best place for me to achieve my goals and dreams. I believe that it has the reputation for being the best place to experience practical teamwork. So, I have started to inquire about Wenzhou Medical University and I found out that it is one of the best universities in China that offers the dentistry course and there are many international and Asian students.
Furthermore, since Wenzhou Medical University is approved by the Ministry of Health of Iran, it allows me to return to my country and serve my people after graduation from dentistry course.
Overall, I am fascinated with dentistry and very much enjoy China. I especially enjoy study dental in the universities in China. My fascination with dentistry will provide me with the necessary ambition to succeed in dental program, while the language course in Wenzhou Medical University will provide me with the necessary skills to succeed in dental program.
